The Tanacross dog races are just past and the Tok Race of Champions, the third jewel in the Triple Crown of Alaska racing will take place next week. We'll be rooting for home grown Jennifer Probert to win in her classes. She's been mostly sweeping every race she's been in for the past two years.

Springtime in Alaska
The sun is up and shining for 12 hours a day and most days it shines all day. That's what I love about living here. Most summers are full days of sunshine, too. Of course there are sometimes summers like last summer when it RAINED. It's still cold at night but pretty pleasant during the day. These are great days for skiing and dog mushing.
